SLAYER played its last-ever concert in Europe earlier tonight (Saturday, August 3) at Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in Stuttgart, Germany. Support at the show came from ANTHRAX and ALIEN WEAPONRY. Just after the gig, ANTHRAX drummer Charlie Benante took to his Instagram to post photos of SLAYER’s Tom Araya and Kerry King saying goodbye to the fans from the stage, as well as a backstage picture of Benante, Araya and ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian. Charlie wrote in an accompanying caption: “Tonight was @slayerbandofficial last show in Europe . This was a very emotional time and I’m somewhat happy I was here to be a part of it #reigninblood #slayerfarewelltour2018 #sad @anthrax familia”
SLAYER will set off on “The Final Campaign”, the seventh and final leg of its farewell world tour in November. This last hurrah will start at the ExploreAsheville Arena in Asheville, North Carolina, and see the band taking its goodbye bow at the Los Angeles Forum on November 30. Accompanying SLAYER for this last ride are PRIMUS, MINISTRY and PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS performing a vulgar display of PANTERA, who will support on all dates.
