MERCYFUL FATE has announced its first live show in more than three years.

The legendary heavy metal act, which last performed at Brazil’s Summer Breeze festival in April 2024, will play at next year’s Leyendas Del Rock festival, set to take place August 11-14, 2027 in Villena, Alicante, Spain.

MERCYFUL FATE announced the concert via social media, writing: “España! MERCYFUL FATE will be playing Leyendas Del Rock Festival 2027! We will see you next August… Stay Heavy!”

MERCYFUL FATE‘s current lineup consists of King Diamond on vocals, Hank Shermann and Mike Wead on guitar, Bjarne T. Holm on drums and Becky Baldwin on bass.

Baldwin officially joined MERCYFUL FATE in January 2024. The Birmingham, England-based musician previously toured with MERCYFUL FATE in the fall of 2022 as the temporary replacement for Joey Vera who was unable to make the dates due to a scheduled conflict with his longtime group ARMORED SAINT.

MERCYFUL FATE is currently working on a new album and gave fans a taste of the new material when they debuted a song called “The Jackal Of Salzburg” in Germany in June 2022 as well as at Psycho Las Vegas.
