ELVENKING release new single and video "Luna"

Today marks the next chapter for Italian power/folk metal masters ELVENKING: “Reader of the Runes – Luna,” the third and final part of their celebrated trilogy, is now available for pre-order. The album promises to conclude the saga with epic melodies, dark mysticism, and untamed energy in an unforgettable way. The album is slated for release on April 11th, 2025, on Reaper Entertainment. To accompany this, the single “Luna” is released today, along with a spectacular music video directed by Matteo Ermeti.

“Luna” serves as the emotional centerpiece of the album and perfectly embodies Elvenking’s essence. Guitarist and songwriter Aydan describes the song as “a piece that shows Elvenking in its purest form – epic, powerful, and filled with deep emotion.”

Lead vocalist Damna adds: “It’s been a long journey, starting back in 2018, and now we bring the story to its peak. The music in Luna is mysterious, melancholic, but also incredibly epic. We’re proud to have created a work that offers fans the conclusion they deserve.”

Following the release of their latest, eleventh studio album, “Reader Of The Runes – Rapture” (released in April 2023 on AFM Records), Elvenking have suprised fans with a cover version of VENOM‘s ‘Prime Evil’ last year. But, this isn’t just another cover, the Elvenking version also features guest appearances of former VENOM and current VENOM INC singer and bassist Tony “Demolition Man” Dolan, and Snowy Shaw (ex-Mercyful Fate, ex-King Diamond).

As ELVENKING revealed, “it is a special song in many ways, starting from the fact that it is a love letter to a band and to a specific moment in time when metal was in fact imprinting our lives indefinitely. The second special aspect of this recording is the lineup. It is a surprise and a metal-dream come true for us since it sees Tony Dolan “Demolition Man” on vocals + bass (he was the original singer and bass player of Venom in the era in which this album was released and now he is still kicking with Venom Inc.), Snowy Shaw (ex-Mercyful Fate, ex-King Diamond, ex-Memento Mori, etc.) on drums, Damna on vocals + rhythm guitars, Aydan on solo guitar + keyobards and Lethien on the violin.”
