Floor Jansen lands #1 iTunes hit with met Lady Gaga’s ‘Shallow’

Nightwish singer Floor Jansen is currently a participant in the Dutch tv show ‘De Beste Zangers Van Nederland’  (“The Best Singers Of The Netherlands”). For last weekend’s edition she performed a cover version of the Lady Gaga song ‘Shallow’. Her live rendition of that song can be seen AT THIS LOCATION.

With global recognition in the gothic metal scene, Floor is considered as the biggest unknown superstar of the Netherlands, as pop radio stations are not likely to play her music. With the participation to this show her star rises now to a broader audience, landing her first solo number 1 hit on iTunes in the Netherlands.

Before joining superstars Nightwish, she already made fame with her band After Forever and she was working on her career with her new band Re-Vamped, which was put on hold due to the conflicting obligations in Nightwish.
