Jethro Tull (uitverkocht)

De legendarische classic rock band Jethro Tull bereikt in 2018 zijn gouden verjaardag en dit wordt gepast gevierd met de ’50th Anniversary Tour’.  Op zondag 20 oktober 2019 gaat de band, met meesterbrein Ian Anderson, nog een keer de podia op om een prachtige bloemlezing te geven uit 50 jaar Jethro Tull.

Op 2 februari 1968 trad de band voor het eerst op onder de naam van Jethro Tull in de legendarische Marquee Club in Londen. 50 jaar en 40 albums later, behoort de band tot één van de meeste succesvolle en langstlopende ‘progressive rock’-bands van hun tijd. Tijdens het concert zullen dan ook niet alleen de grote successen te horen zijn maar ook de pareltjes uit hun prille beginjaren. Of zoals Ian Anderson zelf zegt:

 “I am not usual a birthday or anniversary kind of guy but, just for once, I won’t be a party-pooper either! I treasure the memories of the earlier years of Jethro Tull repertoire, associated as it is with the adventures of visiting so many countries for the first time to connect with new fans around the world. And this is a celebration of all the diferent band members who graced our ranks – musicians who brought their talents, skills and styles to bear on the performances live and in the studio. Join me and the band for a nostalgic evening of varied music, representative of my ever-changing songwriting as our careers progressed through the years.”
