“Beyond”, which will serve as the first single from Corey Taylor‘s upcoming second solo album, “CMF2”, due later in the year via Taylor‘s label imprint Decibel Cooper through BMG, was originally performed by Taylor with his COREY TAYOR & THE JUNK BEER KIDNAP BAND in 2009 but has been reworked for the upcoming LP. According to Corey, the “Beyond” music video will tentatively make its online debut on May 15. Taylor performed “Beyond” at the first show of his short solo U.S. tour, which kicked off on May 2 at The Theatre at the Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania. Fan-filmed video of that performance is available below.
SLIPKNOT‘s final album for Roadrunner, “The End, So Far”, came out last September.
Taylor began tracking “CMF2” in January at an undisclosed studio with longtime producer Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with STEEL PANTHER and ANTHRAX, among others.
