Indie powerhouse MNRK Music Group has announced the acquisition of the complete recorded catalog of Zakk Wylde‘s legendary band BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, marking a major milestone in the company’s continued expansion within the global hard rock and metal space. The extensive catalog spans more than two decades and includes 11 studio albums, including key titles such as “Stronger Than Death”“Order Of The Black”“1919 Eternal” and “The Blessed Hellride”, plus multiple live releases, compilation projects, EPs, and Wylde‘s solo recordings, including the acclaimed acoustic release “Unblackened”.

The deal builds on a longstanding partnership between MNRK and Wylde, creating new opportunities for collaboration around reissues, catalog curation, and legacy campaigns. With its global distribution and fan-focused marketing, MNRK is well-positioned to extend the reach of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY‘s music across streaming, vinyl, and new formats, connecting longtime fans while driving discovery among new audiences. Wylde will continue to remain actively involved in shaping how the music is presented and experienced, ensuring that the spirit and authenticity of the catalog remain intact while evolving for a modern audience.

This acquisition represents a major milestone for MNRK Music Group, reinforcing its position as a leading force in global hard rock and metal and deepening MNRK‘s long-term commitment to heavy music, expanding its investment across both iconic catalogs and emerging talent.

Zakk Wylde‘s enduring influence and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY‘s legacy align closely with MNRK‘s vision, strengthening its role as a home for both the genre’s defining artists and its next generation.

Zakk has been part of the MNRK family for many years, and this deal reflects the strength of that relationship,” said Sean Stevenson, CEO and president of MNRK Music Group. “BLACK LABEL SOCIETY has built one of the most enduring and loyal fanbases in heavy music. Owning and continuing to grow this catalog is a natural next step for us, and we’re proud to deepen our partnership with Zakk for the long term.”

Scott Givens, SVP of MNRK Heavy, added: “Zakk Wylde is one of the true icons of modern heavy music. The BLACK LABEL SOCIETY catalog represents decades of powerful songwriting, unforgettable riffs, and an incredibly dedicated global audience. We’re excited to bring new energy to these releases and continue expanding their reach across streaming, vinyl, and new generations of fans.”

Last March, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY released the official music video for “Ozzy’s Song”, a tribute to BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist/vocalist Zakk Wylde‘s longtime bandmate Ozzy Osbourne. The clip was directed by Justin H. Reich of Three Thirty-three Creative. The song appeares on the band’s new album ‘Engines Of Demolition’, which was released on Spinefarm Records, on March 27.

In a recent interview with São Paulo, Brazil’s 89 FM A Rádio Rock radio station, Zakk was asked when he wrote “Ozzy’s Song” and how it came together. Zakk said: “ Yeah, I had the music written ’cause we’d been writing this album for the last three and a half years, almost four years. So, we stockpiled all these songs. And I was real happy with the way the music came out. And then I figured eventually I’ll finish the song. But then after we laid Ozzy to rest, when we got back home, we took a break from PANTERA celebration (touring with the reformed PANTERA). I sat in a little library room in our house. I just put the headphones on at about one o’clock in the morning and I was looking at a book of Ozzy and I just wrote the lyrics. And that’s what came out.”

He continued: “My wife would always be listening to it in the truck, Barbaranne, she’d be, like, ‘Babe, put on Ozzy‘s song again.’ So that was pretty much just the working title. It’s just, like, well, it’s Ozzy‘s song. So, people would always be asking, like, ‘I wonder since Zakk wrote a song for (late PANTERA guitarist) Dimebag (Darrell Abbott),’ and now we sing it for (late PANTERA drummer) Vinnie (Paul Abbott) as well, ‘with ‘In This River’, I wonder if Zakk will write a song for Ozzy on the new album.’ So, it’s only fitting. We just called it ‘Ozzy’s Song’. So that’s how we ended up with ‘Ozzy’s Song’.”

Wylde was also asked about BLACK LABEL SOCIETY‘s decision to perform a version of Ozzy‘s “No More Tears” during the band’s current tour. He said: “Well, (I) ended up doing the at the BRIT Awards when I ended up playing with Robbie Williams and Roberto (Robert Trujillo) and Adam (Wakeman) and Tommy (Clufetos). We ended up doing that to celebrate Ozz getting inducted for a lifetime achievement award. So I called the (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) fellows up. I said, ‘Man, we’ll put that in the set when we get back home before we go out and do ‘Engines Of Demolition’ crusade.’ So, that’s what we put in there. So that’s why we’re playing it. A little ode to the boss.”
