LAMB OF GOD Releases Music Video For New Single ‘Checkmate’

LAMB OF GOD have released a brand new single and video, “Checkmate”. The song is taken from the band’s new, self-titled album, which will be released on May 8 via Epic Records in the U.S. and Nuclear Blast Records in Europe. The follow-up to “VII: Sturm Und Drang” will mark LAMB OF GOD’s first recordings with Art Cruz, who joined the band last July as the replacement for the group’s founding drummer, Chris Adler.

The fact that the band’s eighth studio effort would warrant “self-titled” status is a testament to the band’s pride and satisfaction with these songs and this period in their creativity.

Drummer Art Cruz makes his studio debut with LAMB OF GOD, after founding member Chris Adler was fired last year.

Predecessor “VII: Sturm Und Drang” was released in 2015. LAMB OF GOD later issued the celebrated “The Duke” EP in 2016 as well as the cover album “Legion: XX” under its original name, BURN THE PRIEST, in 2018.
