AFGELAST – Russian Circles – Torche

Russian Circles are not a glass-half-empty kind of band, neither on record or while touring. When they go out on tour, they hit as many dates and locations as possible, so it is no surprise that their 2020 European tour  which was announced today – is packing thirty-two dates. The American post-metal titans will unleash their new album Blood Year across mainland Europe starting on March 12 in Antwerp and concluding in Athens on April 21. Like their current US tour where they have brought Windhand and FACS along for the ride, they will bring once again bring high-quality touring partners with them. This time the exceptional will Torche join the party, supporting them across the vast majority of dates.

The band will travel down to the Mediterranean, then head north through Germany to Scandinavia before jetting to Turkey and Greece for some studio and academy shows. As mentioned earlier, the tour is in support of their album Blood Year, another solid progression of the band’s sound that cements them as one of the most exciting and heavy post-metal bands of the current age. Our review praised the album highly, and Everything Is Noise was lucky enough to catch Russian Circles at ArcTanGent festival recently too, as they made the pilgrimage over for a UK tour. We can guarantee you are in for one hell of a show, with Russian Circles‘ thundering grooves certain to override your synapses, inducing serious headbangs and good times alike.

Torche need no introduction, really, but in case you missed Admission, their insanely good album that came out earlier this year, then well…you have some catching up to do. The sludge-lords evolved their sound with dream pop and shoegaze influences, yet managed to retain the heavy in copious amounts.
