Descomunal was born in 2002 in the Ecuadorean underground rock scene of the early 2000s. Over the years, with five productions to date, the band has crafted a passionate but yet brutal entity that delivers a unique blend of metal and hardcore that emanates sheer energy.

The band has performed live for more than a decade throughout the whole region, from open-air festivals with mesmerizing audiences of tens of thousands of people to down scaled theaters and small venues all over Ecuador.

After headlining big festivals, playing with the National Symphonic Orchestra of Ecuador and sharing the bill countless of times with numerous international re-known worldwide artists as their support act in their homeland, the band dragged international attention, something that resulted in tours abroad in countries such as Colombia, Spain, The Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and Italy.

“Alianza”, their long awaited and latest EP (2018), depicts an evolved and mature high-end musical production. The audience and specialized media from the region has welcomed the release with remarkable feedback, eager to see the band on tour again reaching out for uncharted territories in support of their new music.
