MERIDIAN, MS – Peavey Electronics® has announced the launch of the new PBK™12BT and PBK 15BT powered speaker systems. These two-way sound reinforcement systems are designed and engineered in the U.S.A. perfectly for DJing, public address, sound reinforcement, side fill systems, karaoke, and musical playback. The systems provide a high performing, bi-amplified power section with advanced digital signal processing (DSP) to deliver an accurate and neutral sound for any type of performance.

Both the PBK 12BT and PBK 15BT provide exactly what DJ’s and Karaoke fans need with analog, high power amplifiers to deliver that much desired warm analog sound, helping accommodate extended listening, unmatched volumes, and none of that harsh, digital top end that can be unbearable for audiences. The onboard DSP uses 56-bit double-precision processing with a 48 kHz sampling rate at 24 bits for the input/output sections to ensure maximum fidelity. Users can easily shape their sound using three factory preset EQ settings: Speech/Monitor, Contour, and Max Contour, which are accessible via a selector switch. Additionally, both units support Bluetooth streaming and device pairing, featuring a Stereo Link button allowing users to wirelessly link two compatible PBK BT series speakers.

For public address and music playback, the rear panel connectivity on both models deliver maximum versatility. Two independent input channels feature balanced 1/4″ TRS phone jacks for line-level inputs, as well as female XLR jacks dedicated to dynamic microphone use. Additionally, a third channel provides a 1/8″ stereo jack alongside two RCA phono jacks. These inputs are then mixed down to a mono signal to feed the powered speaker system. Finally, a Mix output using a male XLR jack allows for the linking of added speaker systems or sending a feed to a powered subwoofer.

These components are housed in rugged, injection-molded plastic trapezoidal enclosures featuring dual rear corner angled sides for use as floor monitors. The cabinets include a full-coverage powder-coated, perforated, steel grille for protection, as well as a molded-in stand mount cup designed to fit standard 1 3/8″ diameter poles.

The PBK 12BT is equipped with a 12″ heavy-duty woofer and a Peavey PD10 1″ diaphragm dynamic compression driver. It yields a frequency response of 57 Hz to 17 kHz, achieves a peak SPL of 122 dB with music, and weighs 31.5 lbs. The PBK 15BT features a larger 15″ heavy-duty woofer coupled with the same PD10 1″ diaphragm dynamic compression driver, producing a frequency response of 55 Hz to 17 kHz. The 15-inch model achieves a peak SPL of 123 dB with music and weighs 36.5 lbs. Both speaker systems offer a nominal radiation pattern of 90 degrees in the horizontal plane and 60 degrees in the vertical plane.
