Singer ISA RODDY opens up about her time as Lillith in DOGMA

05-08-2025

Former DOGMA singer ISA RODDY has confirmed she was behind the first incarnation of Lillith, the lead singer in the theatrical all-female rock group DOGMA. She reveals how she helpt craft the mysterious and sexual aura of the band, as wel as the stage dressings, aesthetics and performance. She also now reveals that her voice and image were used after her departure in 2022.

She has now released an open letter to her fans, in which she discloses the situation.

Former CRADLE OF FILTH keyboard player and singer Zoë Mary Federoff praises Isa Roddy for outing the story, saying:
I applaud your courage in sharing your story. Your contributions as an artist matter. Don’t ever let yourself be silenced- you owe it to every other musician to hold the powers that be accountable“.

Roddy also did an interview with @moitarock, of the @heavytalkoficial YouTube channel in which she goes into further details, saying

“My vocals were used without my authorization in the material released by the band on streaming platforms, on YouTube, and in all live performances, from the very beginning of the band’s activities up to today“.

Last august DOGMA releases the official video for “Be Free”, a “lost” track from their debut album that marks a key moment in Lilith’s early transformation.  The single is released by MNRK Heavy. The band is currenty out on their first ever steps on European soils.

Stream “Be Free” below.

The video invites us into the subconscious: Lilith lies asleep, trapped in a dream. A dark entity begins to seduce her, a being that doesn’t force, but whispers. It doesn’t command, but lingers. This shadow moves through her body and her doubts, trying to awaken something deeper than fear: desire.

As the nightmare unfolds, Lilith watches her closest companions align with the entity, as if seduced by something she still resists. The chase becomes existential. Is this corruption? Or revelation?

“Be Free” is not about pleasure. It’s about what comes before it: fear, resistance, and the quiet urge to disobey. When Lilith finally wakes up, she is not liberated yet… but she is marked.

Musically, “Be Free” is DOGMA’s only ballad, but it is no less dangerous. Beneath its slower tempo and melodic softness lies a tension that never resolves. The song breathes, trembles, and dares the listener to find themselves in the same dream.

Dogma are not here to entertain. They are here to awaken.

About DOGMA:

Known for blending hard rock, metal, and theatricality, DOGMA’s shows are more than just performances, they’re experiences that push audiences to confront their innermost desires and truths. Their music, laden with powerful riffs and unapologetic sensuality, invites listeners into a world where self-expression is the ultimate form of freedom.

Join DOGMA in this provocative journey as they shatter the barriers between the sacred and the profane.

Born from the union of heavy metal and unapologetic sensuality, DOGMA is less a band and more an exorcism. Their performances bleed theatrics and throb with tension — an altar where riffs reign, inhibitions collapse, and every beat is a confession.

In their church, there is no shame — only truth.
No penance — only passion.
No gods — only DOGMA.

Kneel if you must… but it is not to pray.

Dogma are:
Lilith – vocals
Lamia – guitar
Nixe – bass
Abrahel – drums
