DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT announce a sixteen-date European headline tour this autumn, running from October 16th to October 31st, 2026. The run covers seven countries across Central and Eastern Europe, the Alpine region, Italy, and the Benelux, with a strong concentration of German dates closing out the tour.
The band’s live show has long been regarded as the most direct encounter with what their music is built to do. Where the records reward patient listening, the stage compresses that same emotional arc into something more immediate—the interplay of searing aggression and fragile, melancholic passages rendered in full force, with Tobias Schuler’s drumming and Nikita Kamprad’s visceral vocal delivery anchoring the room from the first note to the last. Shows from past tours have been characterised by an intensity that pulls inward rather than outward.

Last year DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT unveil a new live video for “Xibalba”, recorded on October 4, 2025, at Christuskirche Bochum, Germany, during the closing night of their Innern European release tour. Filmed and edited by Alessandro di Martino, the performance captures the band at their most visceral and transcendent, translating the album’s inner turmoil into an overwhelming live experience of sound and light.

Originally featured on Innern, “Xibalba” stands as one of DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT’s most expansive compositions: a meditation on collective dread and the longing to reclaim inner light. Through its live manifestation, the song becomes an act of renewal, a moment in which fear is transmuted into understanding.

DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT will bring Innern to European audiences on a headline tour beginning 18 September in Dresden and concluding 4 October in Bochum. The 15-date run includes performances in Prague, Vienna, Paris, Zurich, and Tilburg, among others. Notably, the tour will include a special performance in Christuskirche, Bochum, a setting known for its stark acoustics and meditative resonance. This live cycle promises to translate the album’s thematic weight into a space of shared reflection and intensity, extending Innern’s emotional terrain beyond the studio.
