SUMMARY:Cult of Luna – Alcest – Svalbard
DESCRIPTION:Het Zweedse Cult of Luna begon ruim twintig jaar geleden als doommetalband, maar is opgeschoven richting post-metal in de stijl van Neurosis en Isis. Op hun nieuwe album The Raging River (2021) heeft de band hun eigen stijl van lange nummers die opbouwen naar een overdonderend crescendo geperfectioneerd! Uit Frankrijk komt special guest Alcest, de post-blackmetalband van Neige (Stéphane Paut), tegenwoordig opererend als duo. In 2019 verscheen hun zesde album Spiritual Instinct. Live wordt Alcest uitgebreid met twee man om een shoegaze-achtige wall of sound neer te zetten die elke zaal omverblaast. De avond wordt geopend door Svalbard, een gezelschap dat genres als post-hardcore, punk en shoegaze combineert.
