DESCRIPTION:Achter de naam Perturbator gaat de Franse elektronische muzikant James Kent schuil, voorheen gitarist in blackmetalbands, tegenwoordig koning van de donkere synthwave. Zijn John Carpenter-achtige eightiessynthsound met postpunk- en coldwave-invloeden trekt een publiek dat je gerust gemêleerd mag noemen – Pertubator speelt dan ook net zo makkelijk elektronische als metalfestivals plat. Zijn meest recente album, The Uncanny Valley, is alweer uit 2016, maar nieuw werk komt eraan! Mis ook de supports niet: HEALTH (noiserock/synthpop, VS) en Author & Punisher (eenmansdronemetal, VS).
